International Business Studies is a modern Master’s program that provides students with a comprehensive understanding of the complexity of international business. Students acquire the skills they need to succeed in an international environment. Special attention is given to the variety of approaches that firms choose to adapt their international operations to the diversity of laws, business practices, and cultures across the globe. Throughout the program, students develop essential communication and intercultural skills. A range of business language courses reflects the international focus of the program and prepares students for a successful career in an international setting.
The degree program runs over four semesters. In the first semester, students learn the theoretical and empirical foundations in several disciplines through a broad range of compulsory modules. During the second and third semester, students can choose from a range of elective modules to pursue their interests and develop their own professional profile. Students complete their Master’s thesis in the fourth semester.
Practical elements include company visits, as well as lectures and workshops with executives from leading companies. Students who wish to benefit from the university’s extensive network of international partner universities may study abroad for up to two semesters. The language of instruction is English.
